Ezri Tarazi leads the versatile design studio Tarazi Studio. Ezri Tarazi’s large body of works includes industrial design projects, experimental designs, design installations, educational programs, curatorial activity and design theory writing.Hei is a leading designer, theoretician, and educator. He started his studio in 1996 after managing design projects in Bezalel R&D Company.Between 1996-2004 Ezri was the chair of the industrial design program at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, nominated by design leaders as one of the best design schools today. In 2002 he founded the Masters Program in Industrial Design (M.Des), and in 2005 he founded a Masters Program in Design Management. In 2004 Ezri Tarazi founded the Israeli Design Center.The year 2005 demonstrates Tarazi Studio’s impressive portfolio, with the co-curator Ellen Lupton and design of New design from Israel at the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum, New York. Prof. Tarazi was also a Guest Designer at Panorama, Brazil international design event in Rio de Janeiro and San Paulo. He created the prominent New Baghdad Table for Edra, among a various number of other extraordinary pieces.Ezri Tarazi has been honored by the Israeli government for his activity. The jury has decided to honor Ezri Tarazi for his activity as a designer and theoretician of design, and for his commitment to promoting design and education of design among the industry.
