The streets of central London, just like the previous 9 years, have been transformed into a big art exhibition full of contemporary sculptures. Modern art ‘Sculpture in the city’returns for its ninth edition and the program counts with 19 different contemporary sculptures alongside some of the British capital’s most famous buildings, such as Gherkin and cheese grater, the Leadenhall building.
Joining the new London art additions, the outdoor contemporary sculptures park welcomes back work from the eighth edition, including do ho Suh’s ‘bridging home, London‘.
For 2019, the street art for ‘sculpture in the city’ differs diversely in terms of form, scale, and medium. Within the square mile in the city, the general public see extraordinarily colored glass installations, classic stone-carved statues and hanging neon lighting.
