Juliet Burrows and Kim Hostler founded the Hostler Burrow art gallery in 1998, in New York City. The initial wish was to compile gems of the Nordic design and decorative arts, but the eagerness to have design diversity displayed was stronger and the two gallery owners later integrated a wide range of contemporary artists. Even after that, the art gallery‘s main attention is focused on Scandinavian artists and contemplates especially works by female artists.

Hostler Burrow wanted to introduce to the world a new generation of contemporary artists and their artwork, and that’s exactly what happened. This pieces might be contemporary but they have a timeless appeal to it, engaging a big crowd of admirers that come to see them.
