At the Salone Internazionale del Mobile, DEDON presented its 2012 collections and an exclusive preview of novelties. During the fair, the german brand provided an escape to DEDON Island and offered the amazing possibility to enjoy designs by Philippe Starck, Jean-Marie Massaud, Stephen Burks, Richard Frinier, Toan Nguyen, Daniel Pouzet, Fred Frety, Annette Hinterwirth, Harry & Camila, Lorenzo Bozzoli, and EOOS.
Designed by Harry & Camila, Babylon is the first collection of garden pots DEDON. Its designers describe them as “experimental forms, high tech and very difficult to produce.” These elegant products produced in a special type of ceramic come in three sizes ranging from 22.5 to 36 centimetres in diameter across three colours: olive, black and grey.
Babylon will undoubtedly become an indispensable accessory and a symbol of DEDON’s furniture. If placed upside down, the vessels Babylon remember the tower of Babel painting by Pieter Bruegel. The vases intend to symbolize DEDON’s cult for originality, “research and innovation, and constant attention to quality and exclusivity in all its designs and products”.
Besides to the fair, their 2012 collections could also be experienced at the DEDON Showroom in Zona Tortona – the perfect place to relax from the buzz at the fairgrounds.
