Sculptor Tung Ming-Chin carves this natural element into figurative art shapes that seem like they are crying for help, just like in the wood sculpture bellow! This wood carving art seems to be pressing against the surface of the piece, almost like the humans and objects are trying to get out.

In the “Inner Turmoil” wooden statue, a face and hands are trapped inside of the wood sculpture and the chunk of wood seems to be smooth and stretched due to the figurative elements. It can be appreciated from an abstract aesthetic point of view.
