Chevalier’s spectacular interactive generative art gives the sensation of interacting with new nature and artificial intelligence.
His work, experimental and multidisciplinary, has its origins in the history of art which he reformulating them. His work addresses the question of the immateriality in art and logic induced by the computer, such as hybridization, generativity, interactivity, networking. It develops various themes such as the relationship between nature and artifice, the observation of flows and networks organizing contemporary society, the imaginary architecture and virtual cities, the transposition of motifs from Islamic art in the digital world. The images they supply to us constantly question our relationship to the world.

Miguel Chevalier realizes numerous exhibitions in museums, art centers and galleries worldwide. He also carries out public and architectural projects.

Covering the floor with a huge layer of light, some works references the world of biology, microorganisms, and cellular automata – as cells have the ability to multiply in abundance, divide and merge at different paces. Pieces come together, fall apart and transform in shape at rapid speeds. The displayed organic universe mingles with a digital construction of overlapping pixels.
