Marie Antoinette wearing Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda

I love Dolce&Gabbana that’s why I can associate it with the most glamorous women in history…

Vogue Germany has dedicated a whole spread to the imaginary meeting of the Italian couture collection with the young Austrian queen Marie Antoinette in their April 2014 issue.

This latest photo shoot where extravagance and modernity meet, spread no more than a physical representation of a beautiful dream where Marie Antoinette would have loved the Alta Moda collection.

The session was decorated with the whimsical floral applications that characterize the Dolce&Gabbana Alta Moda collection.

While historically impossible, one’s imagination runs wild at the thought of the glamorous and iconic Austrian born Marie Antoinette, Queen of France, being alive today and wearing those outfits that grace our runways. I’m also sure the Queen would love to have in her home the mirror Marie Antoinette Boca do lobo designed having herself as inspiration. The shoot would have been more complete with it.

After the huge success of this mirror, the luxury brand decided to honor other important personalities through our history as Marie Thérèse and Louis XVI.
