The Animal Chairs constitutes a diverse range of species, from mammals to reptiles, and even insects. This modern furniture design is an homage to these animals and the whole animal kingdom, which inhabits our planet, as an attempt to reflect and capture the beauty of nature in each living thing. “Whilst considering the chair’s basic functionality, I also wanted to bring it alive, make it more present and create a stronger link between the spectator, the piece and the surrounding space,” says the artist.

THE OCTOPUS CHAIR
The Octopus Chair is the first piece of the Animal Chair Collection, and it establishes a base and point of departure for the pieces to come.
THE RHINO CHAIR
Because of its superlative size and presence, The Rhino Chair is considered more like a throne than a regular chair. It contains an inner frame along its body to support the weight and reinforce its balance. There is not a better animal than the Rhino to reflect the nature’s capacity and mightiness.
THE BABY ELEPHANT CHAIR
This particular piece is produced using morphometric data to resemble the Asian Elephant species having physical characteristic from this particular type. In India, the head of the elephant is used to represent the supreme deity Ganesha who is popularly worshipped as a remover of obstacles.
THE HIPPO CHAIR
The Hippopotamus is a semiaquatic herbivore mammal, peculiar to its barrel-shaped torso, and is one of the most aggressive and unpredictable creatures in the world. For this design, its tremendous size and volume have been preserved, evading any sections or partitions along its body, in order to accomplish an entire life-size piece.
THE WHALE CHAIR
The following piece takes us to the depths of the oceans, where this beautiful marine mammal reigns supreme. This tribute to the Blue Whale, the world’s largest animal, has deep meaning and relevance for the artist, due to his bond with the sea. This iconic image is highly recognizable as a symbol of amity between the Animal Kingdom and human beings. It also makes a firm statement on survival and overcoming adversities.
