In her photography art, Mary Parlar creates performative modern art images exploring the human condition and the nomadic experience of ‘being’ in constructed realities. The idea of self, time & memory, the notions of belonging and alienation are recurrent themes in her modern photography practice.
Parlar’s newest contemporary photography work, ‘Collective Solitude’ you will see hats flying, boots casually lined on the beach as if someone invisible was wearing them, clone-looking people sat at a lake and balloons everywhere.
Her photography art might seem strange to some, but it is open to perspective if you really think about it and want to admire this modern artist’s work.
“Explore the human condition through a feminist perspective” says the photographer.
The photographer fills her open landscapes with colorful elements like masses of balloons and accessories separated from human wearers. Isn’t her contemporary art super fun to look at?
