The idea come up during the early days of the pandemic, as the artists felt the need to find inspiration to keep working. Ralph Pucci represents Moses since 2015, and this year, “Bubblegum, Lipstick, and Hope” came to life, just in time for Art Basel Miami Beach. Composed of ten murals on the building façade and seven canvases on display inside, the art exhibition opens on December 2. Moses will also be offering an array of over 100 smaller unframed portraits.

Women portraited at Moses’ murals are a source of optimism and hope, with fashionable clothes and glamorous accessories, but they are also imbued with a carefree elegance. For example, one woman is dripping in pearls while holding a single strawberry. The gallery, Ralph Pucci, couldn’t agree more, that what the world really needs is cheerful portraits, and what better time to exhibit them, than during Art Basel Miami Beach?
