For Milan Design week 2015, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec expands their collection with a chair and stool for Magis. Working with the ancient process of wrought iron hammering, the studio has devised a system of forged legs with a geometrical shape suitable to support various dimensions and materials.
With the same construction geometry as the tables from their prior experimentation, the french designers apply wrought iron to a shell made in injection-molded plastic for the stool and chair series, available in two in different finishes — leather and plastic.
A revealed textural surface lends each of the objects a distinct vibration and materiality, realizing a minimalist design which combines raw material and an industrial feel.
