Meet the outstanding Pennethorne’s cafe and bar. Located at Somerset House, one of London´s most important cultural institutions, this brand new café is situated on the west face of the neoclassical building, looking out onto Lancaster Palace and Waterloo Bridge.
As a homage, the new venue has received Sir James Pennethorne name, him who is known as one of the best architects of the 19th century, being responsible for Somerset’s House’s “New Wing”, for example.
Clearly influenced by what he saw on his travellings around Europe Sir James putted that influences on his work, having by this means also inspired the interior design as well as the menu at the new café.
Take a look at some of this beatiful photos, as they will certainly give you the will to visit the place.
