Borne out of a conversation which spanned years, between Jessica Mccormack and the Haas Brothers, this collaboration sees the twin modern artists’ colorful and witty world infiltrate that of fine jewelry. Directed by Max Hemmings, this short film by Nowness explores the artistic process involved in this unique design collaboration and takes a deep dive into how the weird, wonderful world of the Haas brothers has been translated into Jessica’s exceptional heirloom-inspired universe.

For this collaboration, the worlds of art and jewellery have collided to create something special. For the first time, Objets d’art is offered as part of the Jessica McCormack universe. Three limited-edition Haas Brothers sculptures, Fairy Berries, have been set with diamonds, and stand tall above the jewellery – in the perfect exploration of absurdity. The sculptures are joined by a Jessica McCormack signature – the Heirloom box, reimagined for the collaboration and set on animalistic legs to make a piece that is a multi-medium combination of sculpture and furniture.

One of the Signature Heirloom Jewellery Boxes has had The Haas Brothers treatment. The box is lined with hand-embroidered fabric, depicting fantastical scenes, with illustrations that nod to classic cartoon characters from nostalgic Haas Brothers film favorites. When you open the box you are escaping reality and entering into a world that ignites a smile.

The witty, biomorphic forms synonymous with the work of the Haas Brothers are here interpreted in three Fairy Berry sculptures – set with diamonds, they cut other-worldly silhouettes.
