The Winners of BAFTA 2015 Awards

The Theory Of Everything and The Grand Budapest Hotel were the big winners of BAFTA 2015 Awards in London. The 68th BAFTA awards ceremony went down at London’s Royal Opera House, hosted by Stephen Fry for the tenth time.
It was a great night for Boyhood as well, Richard Linklater’s epic family drama, which won best film, best director and best supporting actress for Arquette. It was a night that saw Richard Linklater’s Boyhood, all grown up as it won the night’s most coveted award for ‘Best Film’. Linklater also walked away with a ‘Best Director’ win.

The Imitation Game, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, ended the nigh with empty hands regardless of the nine nominations. The British Film of the Year – The Theory of Everything whose star, Eddie Redmayne, won the ‘Leading Actor’ award and once again on stage mention the Hawking family in his big acceptance speech:
“I want to thank them for their trust, their generosity and their kindness. And for reminding me of the great strength that comes from having the will to live a full and passionate life.”
The Oscars voting closes in one week and these awards could play a crucial role in the decision making of the jury.
