Design Miami /Basel is the global forum for modern design. Each art fair brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce.
And just because I Lobo You couldn’t be any more excited for this year’s edition of Design Miami in Basel, let’s meet the contemporary art pieces that will mark its presence at one of the most awaited for design events.
Appearances can be misleading with this piece by Mathieu Lehanneur for DesignMiami/ Basel 2019. Placed on blown glass, these massive marble blocks appear to look suspended, but we know our perceptions tend to lie to us.

Presented by Swarovski, Studio Brynjar, and Veronika’s “Crystal Blind,” draws inspiration from the landscapes and people of Iceland.

“The White Ladies”, a pair of reading lamps constructed from cement-filled stockings and shaped by electrical wires presented at DesignMiami/ Basel 2019.

A compromise between precision and the unexpected is based on the idea that a piece can only be beautiful when underpinned by emotion. Armel Soyer Art Gallery presents Remember by Engel Olga this June at DesignMiami/ Basel in the Curio program.

Dimore Gallery is an abode of furniture design, a journey, an experience, a dialogue between past and present. At Design Miami/ Basel 2019, this Curio features “Sideboard” a unique piece.

Jasmin Anoschkin’s fantasy animals are strikingly fresh in their playful and animated natures, which belie deeper qualities confronting issues around diversity and the way different beings can live in the world.

From the art world, Memo Brasil will present Abraham Palatnik, the 91-year-old⠀
pioneer of kinetic art whose works are characterized by the use of iron and wood⠀
structures combined with painted glass surfaces at DesignMiami/ Basel.

As part of the “Living Wall” movement at Design Miami, Lebreton Gallery presents this abstract composition at DesignMiami/ Basel by ceramist, sculptor, and painter Andre Aleth Masson.
