Urs Fisher is an artist that creates really unique ans distinctive artworks. At Art Basel he presented an immersive field of “small rain”. A psychedelic sea of pastel-colored plaster raindrops pour overhead visitors to the gallery booth with a quality that resonates with a cartoonish flair.
Reclining nude figures are repeated throughout the floor space, each casually lying headless on a crudely formed chaise lounge. Evocative of tragic pompeian casts from ancient times, the fragmented ladies contrast the mass of colorful, windswept raindrops above.
