Using a small drone to lift his camera into the sky high above famed cathedrals or monuments, the photographer Amos Chapple is showing the world in a different perspective, to capture a series of incredible aerial images.
Amos Chapple won the New Zealand Junior Photographer of the Year in 2003 and New Zealand Environment Photographer 2006, he started his career as a press photographer. He relish the ‘accidental education’ gained from his research and assignments for Our Place, and travels extensively for the project. In 2009, he won the Cathay Pacific Travel Photographer of the Year award.
According to Amos his activities tend to draw a lot of attention so he normally avoids areas where there are many other people.
Famous cities and historic sites were photographed from new angles by Chapple, from the beautiful Sacré-Cœur glowing in front of a Parisian sunrise, the Jama Masjid, the heart of Islam in India, this drone photography work is breathtaking.
