How and why did you get into the design Industry?

As soon as I graduated in 2003 I started to seek contact with the industries. I even tried the national factories for the first products. I had already willingness to experiment and learn from different materials and processes.

Where did you study, etc?

I graduated from Catholic University of Rio, PUC-Rio in Industrial Design – Product Design.

How would you describe your design style? How varied are your designs?

I could tell that my work style is experimental. My process is very free! I like to test aesthetic and processes but always having as a starting point the Brazilian identity.
Do you have a signature touch with your designs?
What do you love about being a designer?
I like the possibilities in small and large scales; to do a project from the “bottle opener” to the entire interior of a theater in Rio de Janeiro as we are doing right now.
Where do you draw your inspiration from? I’m always inspired in Brazilian culture and most often in visual arts.
What are some of your most popular designs? Tell us a bit about some of your work.

I believe that it is “Cavalinho Gioco” -a very minimalist child piece in which we got a great delicacy.“I love Zanini De Zanine designs, so I decide to interview the designer of the year that was present at Maison et Objet Americas.”

Another piece that was popular and that I love is the Trez chair designed for Cappellini. I mixed the work of sculptor Amilcar de Castro with the furniture maker Joaquim Tenreiro and we created the chair in Aluminum.
